Is the Cold Making You Reach for a Blanket? Share One With Your Plants!

Hopefully everyone has been following UF/IFAS recommendations for protecting your landscape plants from the freezing temperatures. If you need a refresher on how to PROPERLY protect plants from frost and freeze damage read this.
Remember -- use a cover that does not touch the plant and goes all the way to the ground. This reduces radiant heat loss. If your cover does touch the plant, there may be some damage to the leaves due to heat transferring from the plant to the cold cover.
After the weather warms back up (and it will!) resist the urge to prune your plants until the risk of frost has passed.
